Ger Browne Dentist

Dr. Gerard Browne, BDS (NUI)

Ger was born in Cork City and qualified from UCC in 1980. He then moved to Essex where he practiced until he joined the Health Board in Clare in 1983, treating patients in nearly every dental clinic in the County. In 1984 he moved into a huge private practice with John Duggan on O’Connell Street, becoming a full partner in 1987. They moved to Woodquay in 1994, when they built the Ennis Dental Health Centre. He and John worked together for over 30 years treating thousands of patients. Ger now specialises in dentures and practice management. .
Dr Jacqueline O'Brien Dentist

Dr. Jacqueline O’Brien, B.A., BDS (Hons), MFDS, PG Dip. Primary Care

Jacqueline graduated with an honours degree in Dental Science from Trinity College, Dublin in June 2013. She completed one year of dental foundation training in general dental practice in Kent in the UK. This was followed by a second year where she worked as a Senior House Officer as part of the Maxillofacial Surgery team in the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, West Sussex. She gained invaluable experience with all aspects of dental surgery and maxillofacial surgery. She has completed a post-graduate diploma in Primary Dental Care which is affiliated with the University of Kent. She is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, having gained her MFDS qualification. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and treats a wide range of both adults and children with varying dental treatment needs. She is experienced at putting patients at their ease whilst completing their treatment. Jacqueline also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Root Canal Therapy from the University of Chester.
Dr Orla Coffey-O'Malley Dentist

Dr. Orla Coffey-O’Malley BDS (Hons), MFDS, RCSEd.

Orla graduated with honours from University College Cork in 2004. She then completed vocational dental training on the North Wales Scheme before moving to West Yorkshire. She worked in general practice for a number of years in West Yorkshire, as well as gaining excellent experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery from her time working in that department at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and as a senior house officer at Leeds General Infirmary/Leeds Dental School. She went on to obtain the MFDS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Orla spent five-and-a-half years in general dental practice on the Isle of Man before returning to Ireland in 2017. She is committed to continuing professional development, having completed postgraduate training programmes in endodontics and restorative dentistry with Dr Nigel Hargreaves at the North of England Dental Academy. She is also Inman Aligner certified.
Dr Paddy Delaney Dentist

Dr. Paddy Delaney (Implant Specialist), BDS(NUI), MFDS RSCEd, D Ch Dent (Perio), Cert EFP.

Dr. Paddy Delaney is a clinical specialist in periodontology and implant dentistry. He qualified as a dentist from UCC in 2004 and subsequently worked in general practice and in hospital positions in the UK and Ireland. In 2009 he undertook further full-time study in the specialisation of periodontology at Trinity College Dublin. This lead to the award of a doctorate in dental surgery (Periodontology) and certification from the European Federation of periodontology (EFP). He spent 2 years working as a registered specialist periodontist in large dental implant practices in Australia. He is a member of the Irish Dental Association and the European Federation of Periodontology. He has published numerous articles in both medical and dental international peer-reviewed journals and has lectured both in Ireland and abroad. His practice is limited periodontics and implant dentistry. The service includes the treatment of all forms of periodontal disease, periodontal medicine, the treatment of lesions and abnormalities of the periodontal and oral soft tissues, dental implant therapy and all forms of associated procedures such as bone grafting and sinus augmentations.
Dr Eileen McCarthy Dentist

Dr. Eileen McCarthy BDS (NUI), MFDS, Dip. Con. Sed.

Dr. Eileen Mc Carthy graduated from University College Cork in 2004 and completed a year of Vocational Training in Suffolk, UK. She subsequently worked in general practice in London followed by 18months as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery rotating between University College Hospital, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and Eastman Dental Hospital. During this time she obtained the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She also obtained a Diploma in Conscious Sedation from Trinity College whilst working in Private Practice in the Dublin area. On returning to the UK, she worked in the area of Special Care Dentistry for an NHS trust over a period of five years. Here she gained much exposure to the management of patients with special needs and complex medical conditions. She is committed to continued professional development and attends courses on a regular basis.
Dr Aoife O'Neill Dentist

Dr Aoife O’Neill BSc (Hons) BDS (Hons).

Aoife graduated with a degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Aberdeen in June 2017, obtaining the gold medal in the best overall clinical proficiency for that year. She then completed one year of dental foundation training in general practice in Newry, Co. Down. While working here she gained invaluable experience in all aspects of general dentistry. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons Dublin having gained her MFD qualification. Aoife also has a bachelor degree in Biomedical Science from the National University of Ireland Galway, where she graduated in June 2013. A native of Limerick, she is now returning home to the South West. Her reassuring, open attitude will ensure you are put at ease during your dental treatment. She especially prides herself in treating nervous patients in a friendly and relaxed environment. Aoife also provides Dental Hygiene services to all our patients.

Dr Conor and Dr Cormac Shields are regular visiting Dental Clinicians to Ennis, adding to a multi-disciplinary team. They are the third generation of a family of distinguished dentists. Their grandfather Frank qualified as one of the first dental surgeons in Tyrone in 1917 and their father Frank was a pioneer in oral surgery and sedation in Dungannon. Mairead Garry RDH.

Mairead qualified as a Dental Hygienist from the University of Birmingham in 1994. She had previously qualified as a DSA from the Royal London Hospital in 1989 and worked in the Eastman Hospital and Harley Street. Mairead joined us in 1997.
